PubMan 4.0 is a handy software for the mangagement of scientific references on Windows 3.1 (PUB16 = 16-bit-version) or Windows 95/NT (PUB32 = 32-bit-version) [(c) Microsoft Corp.].

It includs the following features:

a)  Management: Adding, deleting records with varialbe field-lengths for author, title, source, issue, page, publication year, your storage number, keywords, abstract
b)  User adopted design: Automatic keyword- and source-register-management & simple adding of keywords/sources to records by drag-and-drop-actions
c)  Doublet-checking
d)  Searching: Fast searching procedures
e)  Output-Management: Building of using-defined output-formats
f)  Registers: Hit-/found-register for management of remembered or found records
g)  Importfunctions: Biological Abstracts (BA), Medline downloaded files, ASCII-files
h)  Clipboard-functions: copying/adding records in the desired format to the clipboad
i)  File-mangagement: killing/renaming/compacting databases

The demo-version contains all features of the complete product with the exception that there will appear a message which informes you that the program is actually not licenced.

Installation:
1.  Copy the complete archive PUB16.ZIP (or PUB32.ZIP) into a directory of your harddisc
2.  Unzip the complete archive e.g. by use of PKUNZIP or any equivalent decompression software
3.  Run SETUP.EXE from the datamanager (Windows 3.1) or explorer (Win95).
